The Skeleton Crew terrifies visitors with unique costumes and sets that emphasize the natural over imitation every time. Don’t expect a mechanical scare when you visit the Trail of Terror… all of our characters are ‘human’ – or as close they’ll get! Our motto is simple:
“Props don’t scare people. People scare people.”
Not as great as previous years
We've been coming to trail of terror for 3 years now. The first 2 years we came, we were not disappointed; the fields were packed, there were tons of people and characters even walking around while you waited for your turn. This year was completely different, very few people were there, the trail was shorter (no change in price though for that), no characters by the fire pit, and 2 very annoying tour guides. Usually in years past, the guides do not talk and point you in the direction you need to go. Not this year, we had two chatty Cathy's and it was beyond annoying. You could see them turn towards wherever someone was going to jump out from and they ruined the element of surprise. We also were stuck with someone who brought an 8 year old on the trail. The kid was terrified and often went around everything so he wouldn't be scared and again, everyone knew what was coming because the kid was told.....ruining the element of surprise for all of the rest of us. If you say noone under 12, maybe you should enforce that or put them in a group by themselves.
