Best Western Hotel Chequamegon

My 2 daughters stayed one night here on the 2nd floor. Two of us left the room leaving to see the water. As soon as we left my daughter who stayed in the room got a phone call from the front desk asking if we had needed more towels saying a lady went to the front desk saying they needed more towels as there was 4 people in the room. My daughter said there are only 3 people in the room but that they could bring the towels anyways. The front desk said well that's strange and wondered who that person was since it wasn't me. The next morning I went to the fitness center at around 7am. I was on the elliptical when I took my room card out of my front pocket to put in my back pocket when it dropped out of my hand and flew into the bottom of the elliptical machine. I couldn't find it for a long time. Finally I looked on the opposite side and there it was stuck on the side. After that I went on the treadmill and at around 7 minutes it just stopped completely. I decided then that someone didn't want me in there so I left.

July 2021

I was with a buddy of mine and we decided to stay here for the night, he went to sleep right away and stayed up it was late at night as I was closing my eyes I heard high heels clicking in the hallway then seconds later a woman's laughter I wasn't terrified I was actually really excited then out of no where the temperature in the room got cold that I was able to see my breath the windows were shut and the heat was on I cant explain why that happened but I'm surely happy and excited that I got to experience some paranormal activity during my stay.

March 2021

I stayed in room 323 and a co-worker was in room 325. We both heard strange noises throughout the night. One was the stairway exit, which is for emergency exit only, kept opening and closing all night. We both heard a women’s high heels clicking on the floor back and forth down the hallway. Only problem is that the hallways are carpeted. Finally, as I was lying in bed I was on my side and from behind me I felt two tugs on my covers.

In June 2013 I stayed in room 319 and most of the recorded activity has been reported in rooms 312 & 314 almost directly across the hall from 319 .....
These rooms are all on the same floor as the vending machine where I bumped in to an odd and pale looking lady in a long dress, who emerged from the dark space behind the front desk on the ground floor and appeared at the vending machine at the same time as me but she wasn't on the elevator with me ...... there's only one guest elevator in the place....and it is veeerrrry slow

I couldn't find any other stories of a lady walking around, but others have seen a tall lanky man in a top hat walking about the 3rd floor and in the bar (same area where I saw the lady come out of the dark) ....

Maybe I did bump into an "entity", but she was friendly, laughed and disappeared down the hall heading toward my room and rooms 312 & 314 .... I'm getting the willies as I write this ....

I'm not into the paranormal at all but I definitely experienced something paranormal today. We go to this hotel regularly, we've had our wedding reception there, and we go for all the holiday brunches. In all the times I've stayed there in the past 7 years I've never experienced anything although it is said to be haunted. (Hotel Chequamegon, Ashland, WI.
Today both my husband and I felt and saw presences. I just got home to look at some pictures we took I'm the room just behind the front desk and from a series in of photos you can clearly see this strong, large orb moving back and forth!! My husband said he saw something move in front of several times like a blanket. Downstairs in the buffet room I also saw masses moving. We both agree we felt prencences there!
