Visited this haunt 5th after 4 other haunted houses in the area. Other haunts were around 25 mins long with a 2 hour wait in the cold for 25$. This one is out in the middle of nowhere (creepy) in the dark. We waited around 30 mins to get in not bad and the haunt was around an hour long and included a ride through the woods, shooting zombies, a maze, graveyard, bonfires, wooded trails and small buildings outside. For the same price as other haunted houses this was the best value for length and scare factor. Cant wait to go again next year. The only complaint is groups are too close together, ruined some scares for us. But dont waste your time going to other haunts where waiting in line is 5x longer than the actual haunt.

OMG!!! It was like in a different world all together. The haunts were scary and the scenes in it were quite detailed. Complete with props and special effects. Loved everything and I will definitely recommend.

It was totally amazing. You need to go over all the event to get the full worth of the money spent. And, please get a fast pass. The actors were professional and knew the business of scaring people really well. Some were scary and made our hearts pound. Some made us laugh and jump. Overall, a great experience.

They should probably post that their train is broken down and that someone cut the line on their air hoses for shooting zombies. Drove 2 1/2 hours for this, was slightly disappointed.

Wow…amazing! Like a Halloween carnival that is replete with fun and scare. It was lively and a very friendly atmosphere. The staff members made sure we were treated well. Lots going on under one roof. We were able to explore everything and was totally amazed at the number of times we got jumped. Good entertainment for all ages

I was never a haunt enthusiast. But I was compelled by a friend to attend this haunt and I was glad that I did it. The set in itself was intriguing. Loved the paintball attraction and the walking dead theme. There was so much attention to detail. We loved it and will be coming back next season.

The Darkside was a great adventure and loved by all ages from 12 - college and my husband and myself. There is definitely value for all the activities they had and the haunting kept going. Most often you go through and your done, but the adventure kept going and kept scaring. We will definitely go back!

Full of thrilling stuffs. It had about seven different sections. Each of them could scare the hell out of you. The actors were brilliant and had a hold on the characters till the end. The makeover was brilliant, both the makeup and costume. A++

Fun experience for the first time. Loved the paintballing session with the zombies was really interesting. The maze was challenging. There were too many wrong directions and lots of obstacles thrown by the actors. The actors were always having fun and never broke characters. It was on the whole a wonderful experience.

It was a rightful celebration of Halloween in there. Well worth the money and effort. There was pretty much everything going on over here for good scary fun.

I and GF went to Dark Side Haunted Adventure for some bone-chilling scares. But we had mixed reviews about the haunt. Some parts had good scares, while in some places, it was pretty average. The maze was confusing and had few decent jump scares. But it was not totally dark. We got lost for some time before eventually finding out way out. The best was the mine. But it should have been the first item.. it made the rest look less exciting. The woods had a scary ambience, but less number of scares. Some actors did great, while some others did not stay in character. The nursery was a dud. Ticket rates were reasonable given the number of scary attractions they got. The staff was friendly as well. I would have given it five stars if there was more consistency in the scares. Check it out anyway.

Nice place to experience haunt at an affordable cost. Ample space for parking and area for setting up attractions as all seven attractions weren’t only unique but full of scares. The zombie hunt was awesome and foxglove farm needs more actors to make it more real interaction session. Considering the admission fee, it’s not a bad deal and all actors were highly skilled professional. Nice staffs. Looking forward to similar blast next year too.

I and my kids had a blast at the Dark Side Haunted Adventure this Halloween. It comes across as a well-designed haunt with lots of scares. The woods were scary.. we were freaked out the whole time as we never knew when someone would be popping out at us. The maze was a little bit confusing. It helped though that it was not totally dark out there. Overall, the whole experience was well worth the money spent. I will come back again.

I and friends came out impressed with Dark Side haunted attraction. They mix it up well and there are new innovative scares that other haunts does not have. The scare factor was ultimate. The walk in the woods was pretty scary. You can’t say when someone will pop up and grab you. At places, the surface was uneven and one of my friends fell down while running away from a creepy character. The haunted hayride had some creepy characters. Corn maze was fun, but a little bit disorienting. The zombie paintball was entertaining too. We had a great time shooting at zombies. Overall, actors all did a great job. Ticket prices were reasonable too. I will recommend this place to all scare lovers.

There was absolutely no dull moment at the Dark Side Haunted Adventure … all of us had a blast. There was ample parking area… the park itself was about 40 acres…. With 6 houses .. and all well planed and paced out. There is a barbecue trailer and a midway music for recreation… the mine was cool… got tucked away in a tractor to dark woods… with plenty of demons to grab you… walking the trails over the bridges and forest… along with other creatures was quite overwhelming… it was time very well spent… will recommend this to all.

I’ve been to multiple haunted places, but this turned up to meet my expectations. An area encompassing seven different attractions, full of vibrant energy in the atmosphere and amazing actors with friendly staffs; this makes this haunt superb. The queue was long, so it’s prudent to have the fast pass tickets to skip the queue and get into the real actions. We started with hayride and moved to corn maze and ended up the horror with a light-hearted event of shooting zombies. Impressed by the make-up of actors, props and animatronics inside the house. Hats-off to management for setting up such a great show. Loved it and can’t wait to see them again!!

With 2 haunt houses, a hay ride, corn maze, haunted woods and a paintball gallery… we had a splendid terrific time in Dark Side Haunt. The actors in creepy looking costumes performed their roles to perfection. Good entertainment option for families with kids. Do check it out.

The show gets better and better every year… good actors and awesome attractions… hay ride and the maze were the best… you never know who is popping at you freaking the wits out. Hiking around the darkness is never an inviting idea but alongside demons and monsters!!!… you might want to check this out…. Will be back again.

I get scared super easily and I used to get frightened even with simple tricks. But, I find this place more like a laughter show rather than a haunting event. Cheap set design and no theme story. All actors were good but lacked a proper coordination among themselves. A few good scares but more like a repetitive one. No management in queue handling and admission fee was very high. Not recommended!!

Awesome place to experience haunt and fun together. We visited this place last weekend in a group of five and we all had a blast. We bought the combo ticket for $ 40 which includes the zombie expedition paintball and fast pass to the haunted adventure, includes entry to seven haunts. We loved all these attractions as they all had something unique to frighten us and actors were tremendous in performing the acts and never lose the character. But, walk under the woods was damn scary and actors were hiding behind the woods missed not a single opportunity to strangle us. Overall, A+ grade event encompassing multiple attractions for a mere admission fee. Love to visit again. Keep it up guys!!

The website WAY over sells how "scary" this place is. Voted Wisconsin's scariest, what a joke. We drove 3.5 hours to check this place out and it was the biggest let down we've ever experienced. Waited in line for over 2 hours for 10 minutes of paintball, paid extra for the fast pass just to wind up in an even bigger line further inside the haunts. Finished the first haunt in 5 minutes, zero scares. Waited in line for 20 minutes for a 15 minute wagon ride, zero scares. Trail walk was laughable, mazes were easily completed, characters seemed rather lazy. All waiting aside, we finished the entire complex in under 45 minutes.

Have returned several times and it's better each time. The actors are amazing and the setting is perfect. The scene is set as you drive the dark roads back to the farm. Last year, I took my 19 year old nephew the last time and it was a great bonding experience for us. We were loving the zombie expedition - able to buy more ammo if needed - and we needed it (my husband was more conservative). I usually do a haunted house night with my friends and every one of them wants to go back to Ixonia. Suggest the speedpass combo it's worth it.

There honestly should be a warning that the ground is very uneven and the stairs were awful! It was actually very funny ... I was startled a few times but never scared ... Not a lot of blood or guts I would say this is a family haunt... maybe 11 or 12 and up. There was A LOT of walking which is fine but I highly suggest you wear shoes you dont mind getting full of mud! The overall idea was awesome... we had fun even if we didnt scream ... we laughed ... a lot! I do not think it was $30 or $40 worth, maybe if it was more terror centered ... OH the haunted hay ride was actually great ! Scary and creepy!

if you have never been to a haunted house im telling you this is the one you need to experience it is well worth the money it lasts about an hour and you get more scares in each area our favorite spots were the mine and the backwoods revenge the old lady looking for her lost grandkids Zacharias and Jebadiah she is a entertainer and a good laugh for all ages and then the green house is next the girls in there are a riot screaming and chasing you thru there... would definitely recommend to anyone..... thanks for a great experience.....

As a huge horror fan, I'd been a little jaded lately with the haunted house scene. The last couple haunts my girlfriend and I went to seemed keen on herding people through as fast as possible just to ramp up their ticket volume. When you get clumped into groups of 8 with strangers, it's only scary at the front, and then you're just walking through being nice to the actors by feigning fright. Great way to spend so much money!
Well, this just changed.
With The Dark Side, you're split into groups of 2 (or 3 is the exception if you really want to be in a group of 3). The Descent kicked it off on a powerful note, where you go down this creepy mineshaft with winding hallways and tons of props and people jumping out at you (it reminded me of My Bloody Valentine, but with some clowns thrown in too). From the Corn Maze (with creepy-ass farmers lurking in the shadows yelling at you to get off their property) to the Greenhouse (with creepy children crawling on the ground, out of the steam, slowly coming after you) to the Hayride (where a werewolf literally sat down next to me!) the scares/screams kept coming. There were also cool spots specifically designated for photos. And the separate Zombie Expedition? A double-decker bus hauled by a tractor took us to 7 different sets (elaborately built). Paintball guns are bolted into the railing and you get 75 paintballs (but for an extra $5, you can buy another 75 halfway through).
Ticket prices above don't list the discounts we paid. We went on the first weekend they were open, so haunted house tokens (the 6-in-1 deal) were $25, not $30. The extra Zombie Expedition is listed at $15, but if you combine it with the main haunt, it's only an extra $10. So for $35 each we got to shoot zombies and go through the haunted houses (took about an hour and a half to do everything, and that's considering we got to skip all the lines - only because a fast-pass is included when you buy the combo).
The only real downside is the drive out to Ixonia, but even that has its upside. Coming from Milwaukee, it was about a 40-minute trip one way, although it set the mood for me and my friends, driving through eerie cornfields and farm land.
I'm already looking forward to go back next year and check it out again!
