Moe Lutheran Church
Clear Lake, WI 54005
This church and its cemetery are said to be haunted by angry spirits. Legends say that in the early 1900's, the church accidentally burned down, killing over 30 people, who are said to haunt the church ever since the incident. Another story says that in the 1950's, a woman hanged herself in the bell tower after losing her child, and her spirit has been seen hanging in the tower or wandering around the cemetery holding her baby. Apparitions coming from the church and cemetery are even said to have caused accidents on the road.

I’ve been to this church and cemetery dozens of times and have never felt, heard, smelled, or seen anything. I’m a firm believer that this location is not haunted and that the stories about it supposedly being were made up by kids back in the day to pass the time.

i have been coming to this church as far as i can remember. my mom, grandparents, uncles and cousins are all burried here. my cousins farm is just down the dirt road. with that being said, i remember hearing all the rumors but the church its self never strucked me as angry spirits. the graveyard on the other hand, i have seen mulitple times (over 5) people walking on the edge of the field/cemetetary. i honestly havent even been back since 2017.

I have known about the stories of Moe Lutheran, I live not even 5 mins away. Me and two other friends went to the church tonight not expecting anything more than a creepy vibe. What we seen will change us forever. I drove up to the stop sign, and me and my passenger stared at the bell tower, my friend says we need to leave and I ask why? I look back to the bell tower and there is a tall figure standing in front of the bell or hanging from the bell. As I turned around to go back home and none of us had said a word almost that whole ride. But on the same road as the church, I see a car crossing the street so im prepared to stop and a stop sign but there was no stop sign and so I thought maybe it was just a two way stop, well when I got the part of the road where i seen the car crossing the street, there was no road, the only thing there was, was a house on the left of me, and a field to the right of me, my assumption was it was a phantom car, or the car just went into the field and magically disappeared. People who read this may not believe me, but my friend didn't believe until tonight, like I said. This night has changed us forever.

While the church does have extremely negative spiritual activity, a very close friend of mine knows the pastor well. The pastor at Moe church has confirmed that the church has never burned, and that nobody has ever died on the property. However, I have had experience here in which something followed me and a friend home. The cemetery is a huge hot-spot for activity, and the rumors of women holding children, or the belltower woman (also called "The White Lady in this area) are only due to spirits taking on the identities described in the rumors.
