Boy Scout Lane
Stevens Point, WI 54481
Boy Scout Lane is a rural road located in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The road is isolated and is home to the local urban legend that states the road is named for a troop of Boy Scouts who were killed in the 1950s or 1960s while on a camping trip. Stories vary, some naming the troop's Scoutmaster as the murderer, others they name the troop's bus driver.
Another version of the legend tells the tale of a small group of Scouts that left their camp in the middle of the night, starting a forest fire after accidentally dropping their lantern. The fire killed the entire troop.
No matter what the story is, Boy Scout Lane is an eerie location. Many believe the troop lingers the area in spirit. Some witnesses have spotted lanterns or flashlights bobbing about between the trees - only for it to disappear out of nowhere.
