Summerwind - Lamont Mansion - Real Haunted Place
Summerwind was once known as Lamont Mansion and it dates back to the early 20th Century. It was once the home for the family of Robert Lamont and it is rumored that a ghost appeared to Lamont, and he thought it was an intruder, so he shot at it, evidence of what stayed in a wooden basement door for years. After Lamont passed away, a new family moved into the mansion and claimed to experience shadows, noises and other paranormal activity. It was said that they found a human corpse wedged behind a closet and left it there, but skeptics doubt this story. After being owned by different people, the home became abandoned in the early 1980's, until investors decided to renovate it in 1986. In 1988, it was struck by lightning and burned down, and now remains in ruins. The ruins are said to be located on private property where trespassing by the public is not allowed.
