UPDATE: Joker Movie a Box Office Smash

UPDATE: 10/28/2019: Well, what do you know? Turns out Joker is having a great run grossing more than $850 million worldwide at the box office since its release on Oct. 4. At this rate, Joker is the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, surpassing Deadpool 2 ($785 million worldwide).

If you didn’t hit the theater opening weekend for Joker, make a point to do it this weekend! Joker is expected to take the No. 1 spot at the box office for another week in a row. It opened last weekend to $96.2 million domestically and by weekend’s end, it is expected to come out around $400 million.
Joker is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix as the deranged clown Arthur Fleck, and touches on mental illness.
